Gratitude

The first thing I have to do is thank my body. It has braced the impact of so much hurt, disappointment, anger, sadness, and fear. It consoled me and kept me safe as I worked through it all. And it changed to carry those things around. When I did not have the strength, it never gave up on me. And now, as I pursue this change, it responds to me. I listen to it when I try to push to far, and it excites me when it shows me what it can do. Every day I awake within this body is a gift.
